City Council Meetings

City Council meetings will be closed to the public but will be available by video.  If you would like to make a public comment, please send it to Council Pres. DM Collins at, include name, address, and comment topic.

Council Work Sessions

Beginning January 2021, the city council will have work sessions the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm at city hall.

Transportation for the Elderly

We will be providing transportation for the elderly, please see attached flyer

Mandatory Face Masks

Per the Jefferson County Health Dept, starting Monday, June 29th @ 5:00 PM, it will be mandatory to wear a face mask when entering any public place within Jefferson County.  Also please make sure to practice social distancing and wash hands frequently.

Neighborhood Watch Meetings

There will be no meeting for the month of June.  City Hall is still closed to foot traffic.  We want to minimize exposure until it is deemed completely safe.  We will keep you updated for resuming mthly meetings.  In the meantime please practice social distancing and wear mask!

New Recycling Drop Off

New recycling drop off location;  30 20th Court NW.  Hours of operation:  Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.  Paper, plastic and aluminum only.  NO glass, heavy metals or grease/oil!

Center Point Council Meetings

Effective January 1, 2018 Business License Fees Change

Effective January 1, 2018 all City of Center Point Business License Issuance fees will change from $10.00 to $12.00 per Ordinance 2017-5.


Attention residents.  Please be aware that tree logs are prohibited from being placed in your trash receptacles.  If you have tree limb pickup and you have a account with Advance Disposal please call 205-640-7000 to schedule a pickup time.  Thank you!
